Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy (hereinafter referred to as the "Policy") applies to the application "LocPic" (hereinafter referred to as the "Service") provided by Manufac Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as the "Company"). This Policy applies to all users who use the Service.

Article 1: Definition of Personal Information

"Personal Information" in this Policy refers to information collected by the Service that can identify a specific individual, either by itself or in combination with other information, such as name, address, date of birth, email address, location information, posted content, inquiry details, browsing history, cookie information, and device identification information.

Article 2: Collection of Personal Information

Users are required to share location information while using the Service. Location information will be managed together with other personal information provided.

Users can delete information once posted by operating it within the Service. Deleted information will not be displayed again, except in cases where a third party reposts the same content.

Article 3: Handling of Posted Information

Information such as photos and text posted by users will be stored as "spot information" and utilized within the Service.

If a user deletes posted information, it will no longer be displayed on the Service. However, it may be retained in the database for a certain period due to technical reasons.

In addition to using collected personal information and posted data within the scope necessary for operation and management, the Company may utilize such data in a non-personally identifiable form for marketing, research, and data analysis, or disclose it to external organizations.

Article 4: Purpose of Use

In principle, the Company will not use collected personal information for purposes other than those previously announced or for the operation and management of the Service.

Article 5: Provision and Disclosure to Third Parties

The Company may provide or disclose personal information to third parties in the following cases:

  1. When the individual's consent has been obtained.
  2. When providing or disclosing in a state where the individual cannot be identified.
  3. When entrusting the handling of personal information to a business operator that has entered into a confidentiality agreement regarding personal information, within the scope necessary to achieve the purpose of use notified to the individual.
  4. When sharing information with a business operator that has entered into a confidentiality agreement regarding personal information, within the scope of the purpose of use notified to the customer.
  5. When providing or disclosing based on laws and regulations.

Article 6: Compliance with Laws and Regulations

The Company shall comply with laws and regulations regarding the protection of personal information, as well as guidelines established by administrative agencies and industry organizations.

Article 7: Safety Management Measures

The Company shall establish regulations regarding the handling of personal information and appoint a personal information manager to ensure appropriate collection, use, and provision of personal information collected through the Service. The Company shall also educate and notify officers, employees, and dispatched workers regarding these measures.

The Company will strive to prevent leakage, loss, or damage of personal information and unauthorized access to personal information by implementing appropriate safety measures.

Responses to inquiries are intended solely for the individual who made the inquiry. Please refrain from reprinting or secondary use of the response, in whole or in part.

Inquiries may not be addressed in the following cases:

  1. If the identity of the individual cannot be verified.
  2. If the authority of a representative cannot be verified in the case of an application by a representative.
  3. If there are deficiencies in the application details.
  4. If the inquiry does not pertain to personal information held by the Service.
  5. If there is a risk of harming the life, body, property, or other rights and interests of the individual or a third party.
  6. If there is a risk of significant hindrance to the proper implementation of the Service's operations.
  7. If responding to the inquiry would result in a violation of laws and regulations.

Article 9: Changes to the Policy

This Policy may be changed in part or in its entirety without prior notice. The Policy may also be changed due to amendments in laws or other circumstances of the Service. By using the Service after the Policy has been changed, the user is deemed to have agreed to the changes.

Article 10: Governing Law and Jurisdiction

The governing law of this Policy shall be Japanese law. Matters not provided for in the Policy or matters that raise doubts shall be interpreted in accordance with various laws and judicial precedents applicable in Japan.

If litigation becomes necessary, the Tokyo District Court shall be the exclusive agreed jurisdiction of the first instance.

Special Provisions for SNS Integration in LocPic

For users (shop owners, etc.) who use the Instagram integration function (hereinafter referred to as the "Integration Function") on LocPic operated by the Company, the following special provisions are established:

1. Scope and Purpose of Data Collection

The Service uses the Instagram Basic Display API to collect the following information within the scope authorized by the user for the purpose of displaying content on the map, visualizing area information, and supporting promotions:

  1. Collected Data: Basic profile information (username, account type), media (photos, videos), captions, and timestamps.
  2. Non-collected Data: We never access or collect Instagram passwords, private posts, or Direct Messages (DM).

2. User Content Control (Filtering Function)

Users can control the display of their content on the Service at their own discretion.

  1. Exclusion of Posts: If a post on Instagram contains the specific hashtag "#np" in its caption, the Service's system will automatically identify it and exclude it from being displayed on the map. This allows users to choose not to disclose private or specific posts.
  2. Location Mapping: The Service links pre-registered shop information with Instagram accounts on a one-to-one basis, ensuring that information is displayed at the correct location on the map even if the post does not include a location tag.

3. Data Synchronization and Deletion Policy

To maintain data integrity with Instagram and protect the user's data sovereignty, the Service will respond as follows:

  1. Automatic Deletion: When a user deletes an original post on Instagram, the Service will promptly synchronize and delete (or hide) the corresponding content from the map.
  2. Disconnection: Users can disconnect the integration at any time via the Service's management screen or Instagram's app settings. Upon disconnection, all media data associated with the account will be promptly deleted from our servers.

4. Prohibition of Third-Party Data Provision

Data obtained through the Instagram API will be used solely for providing map display functions of the Service and will never be sold or provided to third-party advertisers without the user's consent.

Supplementary Provisions

  • This Privacy Policy shall be implemented starting March 1, 2025.
  • This Privacy Policy shall also apply to actions performed by users prior to the implementation of this Policy.
